Like a picture frame bordered by lush plants, the glass entrance to this architecture studio invites passers-by to peep inside or even to wander in to explore the welcoming space. Colour blocks of dusky pink, yellow, and grey delineate the different work zones in the open-plan interior. A collection of curios, books, and vintage prints, and an assortment of designer, antique and custom-made furniture create an atmosphere that’s playful and intimate — a refreshing antidote to the typical office. Ample sunlight and graphic lighting enhance the sense of lightness and openness. A bespoke, terrazzo-topped iron table serves as a communal work surface, with break-out areas for meetings, meals, or quiet reflection. A metal grid covers one wall with an ever-changing mood board of inspirational images, objects, and materials for the architects’ current projects.
